Mischa Dohler, Ericsson Inc.

Mischa Dohler is now VP Emerging Technologies at Ericsson Inc. in Silicon Valley, working on cutting-edge topics of 6G, Metaverse, XR, Quantum and Blockchain. He serves on the Technical Advisory Committee of the FCC and on the Spectrum Advisory Board of Ofcom.

He is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET); and a Distinguished Member of Harvard Square Leaders Excellence. He is a serial entrepreneur with 5 companies; composer & pianist with 5 albums on Spotify/iTunes; and fluent in several languages. He has had ample coverage by national and international press and media, and is featured on Amazon Prime.

He is a frequent keynote, panel and tutorial speaker, and has received numerous awards. He has pioneered several research fields, contributed to numerous wireless broadband, IoT/M2M and cyber security standards, holds a dozen patents, organized and chaired numerous conferences, was the Editor-in-Chief of two journals, has more than 300 highly-cited publications, and authored several books. He is a Top-1% Cited Innovator across all science fields globally.

He was Professor in Wireless Communications at King’s College London and Director of the Centre for Telecommunications Research from 2013-2021, driving cross-disciplinary research and innovation in technology, sciences and arts. He is the Cofounder and former CTO of the IoT-pioneering company Worldsensing; cofounder and former CTO of the AI-driven satellite company SiriusInsight.AI, and cofounder of the sustainability company Movingbeans. He also worked as a Senior Researcher at Orange/France Telecom from 2005-2008.

 

Sinem Coleri, Koc University

Sinem Coleri is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Koc University. She is also the founding director of Wireless Networks Laboratory (WNL) and director of Ford Otosan Automotive Technologies Laboratory.

She received the BS degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University in 2000, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from University of California Berkeley in 2002 and 2005. She worked as a research scientist in Wireless Sensor Networks Berkeley Lab under sponsorship of Pirelli and Telecom Italia from 2006 to 2009. Since September 2009, she has been a faculty member in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Koc University.

Her research interests are in 6G wireless communications and networking, machine learning for wireless networks, machine-to-machine communications, wireless networked control systems and vehicular networks. Dr. Coleri has more than 150 publications with citations over 10700 (Google scholar profile). She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including N2Women: Stars in Computer Networking and Communications in 2022; TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Incentive Award and IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Neal Shepherd Memorial Best Propagation Paper Award in 2020.

She currently holds the position of Editor-in-Chief at the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society. Dr. Coleri is an IEEE Fellow and IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer.

 

David Gesbert, EURECOM

Prof. David Gesbert (Fellow, IEEE)  is serving as Dean and Director of EURECOM, Sophia Antipolis, France (www.eurecom.fr).

He received the Ph.D. degree from TelecomParis, France, in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he was with the Information Systems Laboratory, Stanford University. He was a founding engineer of Iospan Wireless Inc., a Stanford spin off pioneering MIMO-OFDM (acquired by Intel).

Before joining EURECOM in 2004, he was with the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo. He has published about 350 articles and 25 patents, 7 of them winning  IEEE Best paper awards. He has previously been the Technical Program Co-Chair for ICC2017 and has been named a Thomson-Reuters Highly Cited Researchers in computer science. 

He is a Board Member for the OpenAirInterface (OAI) Software Alliance. He was a previous awardee of an ERC Advanced Grant in the area of future networks. In 2020, he was also awarded funding by the French Interdisciplinary Institute on Artificial Intelligence for a Chair in the area of AI for the future IoT. In 2021, he received the Grand Prix in Research jointly from IMT and the French Academy of Sciences.
